Developing and Establishing Test Protocols for the Objective Sensory Analysis of Malodours from Livestock Sources

The project involves the standardization of the sensory methodology for quantitative measurement of malodour intensity for laboratory, animal research, and on-site environmental testing. This will provide a new standard test and protocols to evaluate odours and allow meaningful cross-comparisons of the results from different test situations. It will also provide the basis for a provisional standard for regulatory testing.
