Construction Project Coordinator

HyLife Major Projects Division is responsible for project development, design and construction, acting as its own General Contractor. HyLife is currently in the midst of an aggressive build-up of capital assets and structures. Our growing company is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team in the role of Construction Project Coordinator. This position reports directly to the Project Manager.

The role:

Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Construction Project Coordinator is responsible for various administrative project duties and assists both the Construction Team and Site Superintendent as required to help deliver an on-time and on-budget completion.

This position will include the following responsibilities and day-to-day functions:

• Schedule and provide updates during daily and weekly project schedule meetings and inspections, and monthly safety meetings; document and distribute minutes
• Create, issue and track status RFP packages; secure quotes and create PO requisitions
• Book safety and QA/QC testing/inspections; collect, distribute and file results
• Assist with development and administration of a project receiving system
• Assist with project document control
• Perform audits and report on quality/compliance with daily FHA documentation
• Work closely with Finance on reporting, costing and forecasting
• Collect and file various documents and drawings as required
• Other duties as assigned

The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:

• 1-5 years of experience supporting Project Managers in the delivery of development projects
• Proficient in MS Office, as well as an ability to adapt to other software applications, particularly Great Plains and Microsoft Projects
• Familiarity with construction methods, building codes, and building development considered an asset
• Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills
• Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment
• Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
• Strong focus on food safety and workplace safety
