Breeding and Farrowing Technicians
El Tigre, RF and Whitetails Farms, located near Niverville, MB, is seeking individuals for the above positions in our farrow to wean operations. Our private production farms generate a satisfactory class of weanling, and have been marketed in the U.S. for a number of years. We currently have available positions, part and full time, for both the breeding and farrowing departments.
Job Requirements:
* 1 to 3 years experience in the hog production industry
* good work ethic and communication skills
* team player
* works well under pressure
* possess a valid driver's license
* rotational weekend work
Responsibilities:
Breeding Department:
* maintaining breeding targets
* AI and heat detection
* follow vaccination program and herd health
* accurate record keeping
* following bio-security protocols
* maintaining environment standards
* essential care of animals including feed and water
* other tasks as assigned (ie: general maintenance of barn, prepping
and washing rooms, etc.)
Farrowing Department:
* maintaining farrowing targets
* gilt/sow and piglet care
* processing of litters
* follow vaccination program and herd health
* accurate record keeping
* following bio-security protocols
* maintaining environment standards
* feeding and watering
* other tasks as assigned (ie: general maintenance of barn, prepping
and washing rooms, etc.)
