Your days will include:
• Directing all Maintenance Supervisors, Maintenance Planners, Clerks, Utility Supervisor, and Chief Engineers for Freezerco, and Foods
• Maintaining the uptime of the facility and reporting on any downtime or breakdowns
• Facilitating and maintaining all training requirements for all reports
• Working with the Director of Maintenance on various projects and company initiatives
• Ensure the efficient operation of plant equipment and services, involving cost control, safety, and product quality
• Analyze current and future opportunities for cost savings
• Involvement with Lean Manufacturing projects and acts as a technical resource
• Extensive plant floor presence, guiding and directing maintenance team activities and ensuring machinery and equipment is maintained
• Weekly verification and modifications of PMs, work orders, and completion of same per requirements
• Implement corrective actions and preservation actions to improve the reliability of equipment
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
• Preferred Red Seal Maintenance Trade or 5 years post-secondary
• Minimum 7 years of supervising experience
• An ability to work various shifts: days, weekends, and evenings as needed
• Respect for a culturally diverse workforce
• The ability to communicate effectively
• The ability to work with multiple stakeholders and possess excellent leadership skills
