Your days will include:

  • Replenishing stock items by creating and processing purchase orders within the procurement system.
  • Sourcing and procuring non-stock items, considering factors such as price, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and placing orders to proactively prevent stock shortages.
  • Tracking and following up on outstanding orders to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Resolving supplier-related issues, including quality concerns, delays, and discrepancies.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with current suppliers while identifying and sourcing new ones as needed.
  • Collaborating with the warehouse or store department to ensure accurate and efficient inventory management.
  • Working closely with cross-functional departments (operations, maintenance, finance) to align on procurement needs.
  • Providing support for projects and tasks as assigned.

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • diploma or degree in Business Administration (an asset) and/or 3+ years of experience in Procurement
  • Experience in purchasing and inventory management
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications and email
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of ERP system
  • Process and results-oriented
