Our growing company is searching for top talent to join our team in the role of Commodity Trading Analyst located in the community of La Broquerie, Manitoba. This position reports to the Vice President of Finance & Risk.

The Commodity Trading Analyst’s principal role is to support the contracting and hedging activities involved in managing market risks related to commodities and currencies that have a material impact on the financial performance of HyLife.

Your days will include:

• Currency and commodity trading
• Monitor performance of the Company’s hedging strategy for hog and feed related commodities, as well as foreign exchange risk mitigation
• Assist in the assessment of market exposure risks and economic modelling of impact on company earnings
• Monitor and report on grain commodity purchasing performance against market
• Compile risk and market update reports for primary economic forces

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

• Bachelor of Economics or Agricultural Economics or Bachelor of Commerce
• Grain farming background and industry familiarity
• Analytical competencies and excel proficiency
