Swine Barn Manager

Genesus is looking for a highly organized, team-oriented individual to fill the position of Swine Barn Manager in our swine nucleus herd barn located near Teulon Manitoba. Responsibilities include (but not limited to) managing staff, facilitating day to day operations, herd health & administrative duties including maintaining targets/goals for breeding/farrowing & making recommendations to management on operational improvements.

The ideal person will have knowledge/experience in this industry, particularly with General Animal Husbandry, Proper Pig Production Practices, Biosecurity & Safety, Pig Flow, Nutrition, Treatment/Vaccination of swine, Environmental issues, Record Keeping & with Office (Word/Excel/Outlook etc). Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment & have own transportation. Attention to detail, adaptability to change/growth & excellent communication skills required.
