Free spent grains for pick-up

Posted on: June 11, 2018

Winnipeg craft brewery Little Brown Jug is looking for a reliable farmer to pick up spent grains from brewing process at least once per week. Brewery uses between 3,500-5,000 lbs of dry malt each week; grain is barley and wheat.

Farmer has the choice to pick up smaller loads each brew day, or a larger load every second or third brew day. At the end of the brewing process the grains are wet and approximately twice the dry weight. Forklift is onsite to assist, as needed.

Grain is offered for free, on the condition that it is picked up on a regular and consistent basis and that the area is left clean.
