Pork Provides: Giving Manitobans a Hand Up
Manitoba’s hog sector is proud to make a meaningful social impact by supporting sustainable food security. While our job is to provide a high-quality, affordable protein to the world, we are passionate about supporting the well-being of the communities where we live and work.
Every year, we donate more than two tonnes of pork products to those in need. Over the years, we have built relationships with Siloam Mission, Harvest Manitoba, the Salvation Army, Agape Table, Ste. Anne Food Bank, and Brandon’s Samaritan House Ministries. We are proud to partner with these remarkable organizations and watch them create opportunities for those needing a hand up.
Manitoba Pork has been honoured with the 2019 Outstanding Contribution to Philanthropy Award (Organization Under 100), for the contributions the hog sector makes to our communities.
Our efforts also focus on sponsorship opportunities that are far reaching and make a difference to communities at large, helping raise funds for charities and supporting organizations that serve to improve Manitobans’ quality of life.
