Manitoba Coordinated Disease Response (MCDR)

The MCDR is an online, password protected system that was developed by Manitoba Pork for sharing information during the 2017 PEDv outbreak. This confidential portal provides timely disease information, including disease status, area maps of the infected premises and biosecurity information to help assist producers manage their operations. The MCDR continues to track the remaining cases from 2017 and share information on the 2018 PEDv outbreak, and will eventually include incidents of Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome (PRRS).

Manitoba Pork is encouraging all producers to participate in the MCDR. Communication in a disease outbreak can drastically limit the spread of the disease to other farms and can also help affected producers get the support they need.

To participate, producers are asked to sign an MCDR confidentiality agreement with Manitoba Pork to share their disease information and have access to that of others. Participants are then given a username and password to access the portal. The MCDR is secure on our website and access is only granted to those with a signed agreement.
